How Large do Bearded Dragons Get?
Bearded dragons are a type of lizard commonly kept as a pet. Their popularity is due to their gentle nature, bright colors, and their ease of care. But one of the most common questions about bearded dragons is: “How big do they get?”
Adult Sizes
In general, adult bearded dragons reach a total length between 18 and 24 inches. They can weigh anywhere between 12 and 28 ounces, depending on the species. To give you an idea of their size, they typically reach the length of an average ruler or book.
Variations in Size
There are also variations in size depending on the breed and gender. The Papuan breed of bearded dragon typically measures up to 18 inches. On the other hand, the Undulatus breed can reach a length of up to 24 inches.

Growth Rate
Bearded dragons start off small but grow quickly. They typically reach their full adult size within 6 months to a year.
