How To Draw Birds In The Sky
Drawing birds in the sky is simple and fun, but can be tricky if you don’t know the basics. With practice and some guidance, you’ll be creating pictures of birds soaring above the treetops in no time.
Use the Right Tools
Before beginning a project, considering getting the supplies you need to make it a success. For this project, you will need:
- Pencils/ Pencil Sharpeners – to draw the outline of the birds.
- Erasers – to erase mistakes or sharpen up fine details.
- Colored Pencils – To fill in the details of the birds and the sky they’re flying in.
Drawing the Sky
The first step to this project is drawing the sky. Start out with a blue or light blue pencil and fill the background with some light shading. Feel free to draw puffy white clouds if you wish.
Adding the Birds
Next, you can start to draw the birds. Start with a pencil and draw the outline of the birds at various angles in the sky. A good tip is to draw the birds in a “V” formation, like a flock of birds.
Coloring It In
After the outline of the birds has been completed, you can use colored pencils to fill in the details. Start with the beaks and eyes and move your way up to the feathers. These details can be as simple or as detailed as you wish.
